The Sea of Ideas Is in Each of Us
The last weeks in my world and also in my head resemble the sea in the photo. Lots of ripples, lots of energy, inspiration, lots of ideas. One thing is mixed with another and I would like to do everything right away. But I only have one head and two hands, and even if I lean into it and write and compose and put it all together for all days, I know it's not supposed to be like this. Not with the head, but with the heart.
The journey is the destination. Anytime, anywhere, and in everything.
The journey is not just about getting from point A to point B.
The journey is about enjoying it, savoring every step and detail, perceiving it and also adjusting the direction along the way, perhaps leaving out some ideas that came out in the form of waves from the depths of the Universe and the soul that inspiration that sometimes overwhelms me like a tsunami.
It's like going shopping for the groceries in the morning and coming back at midnight. With no groceries. It has happened to us many times here. And just to be sure, when we go shopping again, I am aware that I can afford to spend the whole day outside, I will take everything I might need with me. Just in case the journey became the destination and point B became the whole alphabet and we didn't come back until we got to point Z.
So instead of frantically trying to get everything done right now, I prefer to stop for a few days and perceive what to keep from all of this, what to develop further. What is really what I feel from the bottom of my heart and is not just useless.
Life is a constant evolution. Clarity alternates with chaos and waves of doubt and determination. Everything happens together all the time. One stands next to the other like goods on a shelf. Anything you can think of. Just choose.
I am a person with a high dose of creativity. Creativity is as much a part of my world and character as breathing. Life without creation would be strangely empty. From my point of view. Being creative is so beautiful! And sometimes so misleading. Sometimes I envy those people who were born differently. They have their lives pretty organized, they do their work, they know what's coming and so on. They are not overwhelmed by a tsunami of ideas. They don't need to keep trying new things, moving, creating anytime and anywhere. They are simply happy without creating. Or so it seems.
But even though I sometimes lament to myself how messed up I am, why can't I - like in the store - choose one thing and stick to it, and instead one idea suddenly becomes an octopus, which in a short time grows more and more tentacles in the form of branching ideas, it makes my head spin, I'm so happy.
I'm happy that I didn't silence my creativity over time. How many times it wakes me up at night or dictates words in the morning that I have to catch even before I have time to drink my morning coffee or stretch my body.
I am happy that creativity and the occasional tsunami of ideas make me feel really alive, like a ball of vibrating energy. I'm happy that I never get bored because of it. There's no time for that! On the contrary, I would need to inflate the days several times to put everything into them sometimes.
And I would like everyone to discover this flame in themselves, that place where ideas are born, that place that is like a volcano, somewhere inside, a volcano that is connected to the living core of the Earth, the Universe, from where the inspiration to create flows, to play, to discover. And I don't mean you have to become a writer or a musician. It is enough to create, for example, in the kitchen. Or to try drawing, knitting something, painting a chair, cutting your hair. Anything!
I think that sea of ideas is in each of us. And even if it sometimes tosses me like a small boat on a stormy surface, from the bottom of my heart I wish everyone to find it in themselves and let it breathe into their life the smell of freedom, endless space, possibilities, the joy of creating something with your own hands.
And even if you think you have nothing to give, that you are not creative, give it a chance. Remember what you enjoyed when you were a child? Try doing something different in your days. Experiment a little. It's worth it. That fire in the heart, the feeling of excitement, the feeling that life is much bigger than it sometimes seems to be.
P.S. This article is a bit late. That's because of the seas of inspiration. The next one will be (hopefully) at the time I promised myself... In a week… Or so.
Love, K.
