Time for Myself
Time for myself. Medicine within reach. How important it is to take time for ourselves…
Maybe it's spring, Easter, whatever, actually it's definitely also connected to my own journey, which I'm heading a little further, making some adjustments along the way, taking steps that seemed too big and so I've been putting them off... In short, spring cleaning and New Year's resolutions in the mix.
And so, in recent days, this mix has demanded some attention. Time for myself. I need to be alone, I heard and saw my inner light flashing brightly.
When I lived alone, there was an ocean of time for myself. At first I enjoyed it royally. I wished to live alone for a while. To do all the things that I feel at the moment without having to consult with someone or adapt. But even the best food gets boring when it’s the same again and again. And so I got tired of the sea of time after a while.
Today I share a rather small space, a home, with another being. We're on the same page, but sometimes I just need to be by myself again. Not talking. Not diluting my thoughts, inspiration, intuition, being. Just enjoying myself. And not only for a while, a few hours, but for a few days, once in a while.
Does that sound selfish? Maybe. But it's not.
It is a need as natural as breathing. Air for life. Clarity on the journey. Mandatory equipment for cohabitation. Because time for yourself also benefits others. It benefits the harmony of all involved.
Today is the third day and I slowly feel that I will like to talk more, share, I will be able to share myself again. This gift, time for myself, helped me discover some ideas and pieces of my puzzle. I also feel like after some wellness stay. So little is enough to feel great again. We don't have to travel far. All we have to do is quiet down and let the inner voice take care of us.
“Time for myself” is something that everyone can and has the right to indulge in. Time to time. Anytime the need arose.
So, this article will be just that short. Enough words. I'm going again to dive into the ocean of my own world and when the stars light up, I'll come out and silently thank them for all the wishes that came true, for March, for the wishes that I wish would come true soon... For the miracle of every day... And then I will send gratitude for the fact that I am learning more and more to allow myself enjoying alone time anytime I need, even if I don’t live alone anymore.
Love, K.
